Page Selection Formats

You can specify pages in several ways:

  • Individual pages — enter page numbers separated by commas: 1, 3, 5 extracts pages 1, 3, and 5.
  • Page ranges — use a dash to specify a range: 1-5 extracts pages 1 through 5.
  • Combined — mix both formats: 1, 3, 5-8, 12 extracts pages 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 12.
  • Single page — enter just one number: 4 extracts only page 4.

Pages that don't exist in the document are silently skipped. The extracted pages maintain their original quality, formatting, and layout.

When Do You Need to Extract PDF Pages?

  • Share specific sections — send only the relevant pages from a large report or manual, rather than the entire document.
  • Create handouts — pull key slides or pages from a presentation PDF for meeting attendees.
  • Submit required pages — applications and forms often ask for specific pages from multi-page documents.
  • Archive important content — save just the pages you need for reference without keeping the entire file.
  • Reduce file size — extract only needed pages to create a smaller, more focused document.
  • Prepare legal documents — pull specific clauses, pages, or sections from contracts for review or signature.
